This year’s event moves to a new venue due to the National Elections, but visitors can look forward to all the familiar fun and festive spirit that make this such a popular occasion. Father Christmas will be making a special appearance, accompanied by his friend, to hand out presents to the children. There will be entertainment throughout the day, delicious food to enjoy and plenty of artisan stalls offering unusual gifts and tempting treats you won’t find on the high street. It’s the perfect opportunity to find something a little different for those special people on your Christmas list. As always, the event is about more than just festive fun. Every visit helps support the La Cala Lions and their work for good causes across the Costa del Sol, making it a wonderful way to enjoy the season while giving something back to the local community. Step Out for a Good Cause! La Cala Lions Sponsored Walk and Christmas Market at the Torreon La Cala de Mijas. Join the La Cala Lions on Sunday, 8 November, from 10am for a sponsored walk along the beautiful La Cala boardwalk, raising awareness of diabetes and supporting the valuable work of the Lions Diabetic Support Group. Whether you’re a keen walker or simply fancy a leisurely stroll for a good cause, everyone is welcome to take part. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get outdoors, enjoy the sea views and help support an important local initiative. Once you’ve completed your walking challenge, why not take some time to explore the artisan market? With an interesting selection of stalls offering gifts, delicious foods and seasonal treats, it’s the perfect place to get a head start on your Christmas shopping. There will also be free health checks, helpful advice and information for people living with diabetes, alongside entertainment throughout the day to keep the atmosphere lively, friendly and festive.
