The AGM for year 2024-2025 took place on Wednesday 27 June.
The Lions welcomed two Lions visiting from the Crosby & District Lions Club Liverpool, David Pomroy and June Batty. At the end of the AGM pennants were exchanged. The pennant of the Crosby & District Club was very interesting as it depicts “The Wooden Cross at the site of St. Michael’s Well”, which is the oldest landmark in Crosby. The pennant also has a Lion which is a copy of an original drawing, drawn by a disabled artist by mouth. David Poroy gave a good thank you speak and congratulated the La Cala de Mijas Lions on their very successful year.
At the end of the AGM business, President Karen Blair handed over the President chain of office to next year’s president, David Kay. The final presentation was a gift to President Karen Blair, thanking her for a successful year as president, it was a basket filled with gifts and memories of her year in office.
